The Rockfish Valley Foundation Natural History Center is closed for the Winter. The center will reopen April 5th with our new exhibit on Biodiversity. Thank you for your continued interest and support. We’ll see you in the Spring!

Learn about the natural and cultural history of the Rockfish Valley and Virginia through permanent and rotating exhibits in association with the Virginia Museum of Natural History. Located a couple miles south of Nellysford on Route 151 in Nelson County, the Rockfish Valley Foundation Natural History Center is the perfect place for school groups and families to come learn and explore. We also have an outdoor park and six miles of level terrain hiking trail system which is great for bird watching or just walking your dog.
