Buy local! We have the best local music, foods, wine and beer, and a variety of gorgeous artisan-made gifts.

We are a historic country store, selling deli, basic groceries, beer and wine (on and off-premises), local and sustainable foods, and the best in local artisan-made gift items, including wood turning, pottery, glass, jewelry, textiles, photography/painting, bath/beauty, and more. We host local live music and events most Saturdays and Sundays.

The Batesville Market is located at the corner of Plank Road and Craig’s Store Road in the Batesville Historic District, near Charlottesville, VA. Constructed around 1900, it has had several incarnations, originally as the Charles Joseph Store, then for three generations as the Page’s Store. More recently it has been known as the Batesville Store and the Plank Road Exchange, and is now the Batesville Market.
